About this work

A roof is the one job on a house you cannot do halfway. We strip the old roof to the deck, replace rotted sheathing, run ice and water shield along the eaves and valleys, double the coverage at the drip edge, and flash every chimney, vent and skylight tight before the shingles go on. A project manager is on site for every roof.

Most houses around Boston get architectural asphalt shingles: a layered look, a long life, no extra structural weight, and the colour you want. If you have slate, cedar shake or a flat rubber roof, we work with those too. Every job ends with a magnet sweep for nails and the debris gone from the yard.

We are a family-owned, fully licensed and insured Massachusetts contractor, MA Lic. #126232, doing this for more than 20 years. Estimates are free (some exceptions apply) and financing runs as low as $99 a month.

Questions people ask

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single-family roofs are torn off and re-shingled in one to two days, weather allowing. Bigger or steeper houses, slate and flat rubber roofs take longer. We tell you the schedule with the estimate.

Architectural or three-tab shingles?

Three-tab is the standard, budget shingle and can go on in a day. Architectural (laminated) shingles cost a little more, last longer and give a layered look that stands in for slate or shake at a fraction of the price. We quote both if you want to compare.

Do you pull the permit?

Yes. We handle the building permit with the town and the inspection, and we have gone to city hall in person when a homeowner needed it done fast.

Can I finance a new roof?

Yes. Financing runs as low as $99 a month. Ask when you call or at your free estimate and we will go over the options for your house.
